Great meeting…

We became clearer on what to do about a face lift for the club, the details such as plans being developed and fees that need to be paid to get everything off the ground. A lot of controversy, but following the BOD meeting there were half a dozen men that stayed around, brainstormed and cleared the air with each other, and that little 20 minute meeting in the office achieved better results than the other whole 2 and a half hours of the regular meeting. Who’d a thought?

We talked about the AC and how that was handled off line and what we learned about how we function as a Board of Directors, a lot of jumping chain of command and such. I got that everyone there learned a little something about research and development and how the whole of the BOD needs to be. Yes we still have some flaws working together, but by the end of the night, we all know why we do what we do. We all have the same context that is care for this Alano Club and helping the still suffering addict. That context is very evident and if we keep our focus there, the “taking things personally” will dwindle off the map. We have a strong BOD with opinions, ideas and a lot of wisdom.

We will work together!
